“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”
It can seem that, in our society, the world is on a steady pace towards hell. With horrific things on the news daily, it can be hard to hold on to hope.
But the thing I’ve found to be true, even in the darkest of times, is that the Gospel is unstoppable. It transforms societies and individuals. It brings light where there once was darkness. I’ve known it to be true in my own life and I’ve seen it in others’ lives. There is nothing as powerful, as transformative, as uplifting as the Gospel. It mends broken relationships, tears down cultural barriers, and heals broken hearts. There is no other religion, method, way of living, that speaks to every culture and every society.
The Gospel is our hope.
I truly believe that the Gospel can heal what is broken in our society. This does not mean that we are inactive, but that every thing we do begins and ends with the Gospel. In this, we see everything and everyone with the heart of Jesus. And His perspective is the only one worth having.
